Magnetic Analysis Corporation offers Rotomac(r) 9 non-destructive rotary eddy current test system. The product is designed to detect long, seam-type defects in wire, tubing or bar stock (whether hot rolled or cold finished product). The Rotomac 9 features high flaw frequency resolution for today"s higher RPM rotaries, as well as a real-time, flat panel colour display of waveforms reflecting true phase and amplitude. The systems can detect unusually shallow defects, as small as .001" deep depending on the material. Digital electronics and the flaw verify feature permit accurate differentiation between wanted and unwanted signals. Up to four independent flaw channels together can be included in rotary and instrument package. A coincident colour linear display shows the combined real-time vertical channel signals from each rotating test probe. Operators can adjust the most frequently changed test parameters and revise, store, or recall a setup, as well as use the built-in Ethernet interface to download to the Rotomac 9 from networked computers.
