Salipol Biocides is a manufacturer and distributor of biocides to preserve aqueous technical products and waterborne processes. The company is a Joint Venture that brings together the expertise in preservation of two experienced and innovative companies: Chemipol S.A., (European synthesiser of industrial biocides) and Salicylates & Chemicals Pvt Ltd (Indian producer of cosmetic and pharmaceutical preservatives). Due to the weather conditions, films and layers that are exposed to the environment need protection against fungus and algae. The effects of this contamination are not only aesthetic, but structural. The company is producing in India a wide range of Dry Film Preservatives or fungicides for the protection of different materials, such as coatings films, plastics, silicones and putties. These products are based on combinations of different active ingredients to suit the requirements of the different applications. The range includes: Fungipol 351 Fungicide and algaecide to protect interior and exterior liquid coatings from surface fungal and algal growth based on a balanced mixture of carbendazime, diuron and OIT; Fungipol 364 Fungicide and algaecide especially developed for protecting exterior paints, coatings and plasters from surface fungal and algal growth in extreme climates; Fungipol 342 Fungicide and algaecide of high concentration of active ingredients presented in powder form; Fungipol 990 Fungicide and algaecide especially developed for protecting exterior paints, coatings and plasters from surface fungal and algal growth; Fungipol AX 45 Fungicide and algaecide based on OIT for both aqueous and solvent products, suitable for coatings and wood protection; Fungipol P 21 Fungicide and algaecide based on IPBC for both aqueous and solvent products, suitable for coatings and wood protection; Fungipol 945 Fungicide and algaecide based on OIT for solvent products, suitable wood protection, silicones and PVC; and Fungipol KN 5 Fungicide and algaecide to protect plasticised PVC and similar products from bacterial and fungal growth and associated colour changes.
