Mechelonic Engineers offers for the construction industry a Drawn Arc Stud Welder. For many years, drawn arc stud welding has been a well established process for welding 'shear connectors' in composite construction and for producing steel components in solid construction. The outstanding advantages are high efficiency and safety. One basic rule is that the load bearing capacity of a good stud weld is higher than the stud or the work piece material. Standard 'shear connectors' are used in construction of bridges, multi-story parks, industrial and office buildings, to establish links between steel girders and concrete slabs. The weldable stud range available is: 3 to 25 mm dia with ceramic ferule; 3 to 12 mm dia with short cycle; and 3 to 16 mm dia with shielding gas.
