Rimaco Machines offers a Double Disc Grinding Machine, Model DDG 400H CNC. Double disc grinding machines are highly productive and accurate for machining to size components with flat and parallel sides. In this grinding method, two opposed grinding wheels, each mounted on separate spindle, simultaneously grind the two parallel faces using different feeding mechanism. The feeding mechanism is normally decided depending upon the component shape, production and dimensional accuracies. The economical grinding cost and the dimensional accuracy is the main factor for considering a double disc grinding process. Though the vertical double disc grinding machines are more popular these days, but there are some components which only horizontal grinding machines can process. The company has developed the horizontal grinding machine in hydraulic as well as CNC versions to meet the requirement of most customers in the industry. CNC double disc grinding machines can be interfaced with the other machines in line for flexible manufacturing and reducing the manpower with high production volumes.
