Shield Alloys offers Digital Management System, Film Scan 75. It is PC based digital management system used for NDT/medical applications. Features: up to 4 K resolution; accepts films up to 14 x 17" (35 x 43 cm); scans 115 lines per second; converts film images to digital images of 1024, 2048 or 4096 pixels x 5000 lines x 12 bits (4096 gray levels); density precision a linear function from 0.03 to 3.8 OD; self-calibrating and unaffected by ambient light; excellent image quality; provides the density resolution to visualise subtle, low-contrast abnormalities; laser beam discretely illuminates each point (pixel) on the film, with over 90 per cent of transmitted light collected and measured, for digital resolution and densities that are representative of the original radiograph; patented logarithmic amplifier evenly distributes digital signals to an accuracy of 0.001 optical density, enabling better digitising of grayscale detail at higher densities to produce low-noise digital images. System specifications: desktop PC with Intel Pentium 4 processor (2.93 GHz); 256 MB RAM; 60/80 GB hard disk (7200 RPM); CD RW drive; 15"/17" CRT/TFT monitor; 10/100 Ethernet LAN port; built-in 56 K modem; 2/4 USB 2.0 ports keyboard + optical mouse. Software: Windows XP Pro operating system; necessary driver support; film digitiser and digital management software. Additional options: can be used to grab and process images from image intensifier, digital plates and digital camera.
