Flowseal diaphragm valves have been designed to handle corrosive/hazardous media, fibrous media as well as water, air, normal fluids, gases, and slurries. They are used for on/off or throttling services in chemical, petrochemical, fertilizers, pulp and paper, rayon, power plants, effluent treatment plants, nuclear and other industries. These valves are normally operated manually. Closure of the valve is achieved by rotation of handwheel in the clockwise direction, which through the stem compresses the compressor which in turn compresses the flexible diaphragm against the weir of the valve body to provide cushioned, leak-tight closure. Opening is a positive operation, achieved by rotating the handwheel in anti-clockwise direction, the diaphragm being lifted by its moulded stud.
