Flow Control Industries manufactures a wide range of GMP diaphragm valves. These can be installed in DM water or WFI hot or cold loop system and can replace conventional WYE or 2 bends and Tee design. The valve can be utilised to eliminate dead legs in the design of point of use outlets in a typical distribution loop. The process fluid flows through the valve body. As demand warrants, the valve is opened providing uncontaminated sample untainted by bacterial growth or contaminants that may accumulate in outlets greater than 6D. The outlet can also be used as a steam condensate drain or divert port. Typically, the GMP valve is oriented in the vertical position. For horizontal process application Tee type valve is recommended. The valves are available in sizes from 3/4" to 4" and can be supplied with buttweld or Triclover end connections. The rubber diaphragm (seat) is available in silicon, viton, EPDM with an option for Teflon lining steam sterilisable at 121(C. The material of construction these valves is 304, 316, 316L stainless steel, duly elecropolished to 240 grit surface finish and hydrotested to 7 kg/cm2. The body construction is sanitary hence no skilled person required for assembly/disassembly.
