As conventional EDM cutting involves more time and money, solid carbide tool manufacturers prefer resin bond diamond wheels due to chip free smooth cutting of carbides. As cutting waste is also minimal, saving in TC material is a cost advantage. Standard 150 mm dia x 1.2 mm thick with 31.75 mm bore is available ex-stock. Customised wheels are also manufactured for specific needs. The company has developed special resin bond diamond wheels exclusively for tungsten carbide cutting applications.
