One can use it either as a diagnostic help on faulty or suspected machines or as a stage inspection instrument. It is useful for testing all types of motors-single-phase or three-phase AC squirrel cage or slip ring or DC motors. Motor studies have shown that apparent sudden looking break-downs actually start as a small insulation fault that cannot be detected by conventionally used instruments. This fault causes intense spot heating and hence fault worsens and ultimately results in the burn-out. With All Tester, one can readily locate such faults and therefore can take planned action and minimise down-time. There is also a function to test earth leakage by applying a high voltage pulse. All Tester can even measure micro farads and the loss angle of the start and run capacitors used with single-phase motors and thus certify the complete health of motors.
