Autoreg-K model manufactured by Auto Controls is a basic full wave fully controlled thytistor drive module consisting of all electronic circuits required to run a DC motor. With add-on electrical components mounted in a proper panel, it makes a complete DC drive panel. It consists of power section, control section, and field bridge with PFR The power section consists of thyristor modules mounted on appropriately selected heaf sink with or without forced cooling arrangement depending upon the power rating of the module. These thyristor modules form 3-phase, full-wave, fully controlled bridge configuration for feeding power to the armature of the DC motor. The control section is for thyristor firing angle control which allows smooth variation of the speed throughout the control range. It maintains the constant speed at pre-selected value (set by user) irrespective of the load, temperature or supply voltage variation. The control section also consists of field bridge up to 16 A DC with field failure interlock and a potential-free contact for indication, and a current limit circuit which will not allow the current to exceed the set value. The main control also consists of reference output for synchronizing with other drive or master and ratio control drives.
