Lutze of Germany is offering data transmission interface modules for V24/RS232C and VII/RS422 transmission lines. Available in two versions over twisted pairs or optical fibres, the Datatrans system connects computers, PLCs, and other computerised industrial controllers with production equipment or peripherals over long distances. The modules provide reliable, error-free transmission in electrically noisy environments. Interfaces are available for RS232C, RD422, 20-mA, and glass or plastic optical fibres. Transmission distances up to 3,280' are possible over shielded twisted pairs, and up to 7,500'using fibre optics. Data transmission rate via Datatrans is 50 KBaud. V24/RS232C and VII/RS422 modules are available with handshaking, and 20-mA modules are available with active/passive switching.
