Plansee AG, Austria, manufactures finished and semi-finished holders for cutting tools in "anti-vibration tungsten alloys". These materials are produced with powder metallurgy in different dimensions under, the brand name of "Densimet TW" and "Densimet WS". Due to its excellent vibration damping characteristics and highest possible rigidity, they are ideally suitable and used by customers world wide for grinding quills, turning shanks, deep boring bar and counter weights. The company also produces foils, sintering cups and furnace parts for the production of synthetic/industrial diamond and cubic boron nitride (CBN). Further, also available are tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, niobium and their alloys with powder metallurgy for various applications such as furnace, aeronautics and space technology, armament and ammunition, automotive and engine technology, nuclear technology, lighting technology, etc. The standard product range includes wire, sheet, foil, rod, tube and bar.
