The Tinsley Group offers an instrument for Current and Voltage Transformer Testing. Model ACVT is the world’s first and best expert system technology for current and voltage transformer testing as per IEC standards. The instrument has power rating of continuously variable in three selectable ranges (0-50 V, 0-300 V and 0-2000 V). Each range has 800 VA rating and as such the unit is suitable for use on high voltage rating CT/PTs. The competitive advantage is that, this instrument not only tests CTs/PTs by presenting data, ratio, etc., but also provides information like Magnetisation curve graphs and go one step further than anyone else in the world, as there is an Expert Assessment Technology system software, where the system assess the data and indicates to the test engineer if the CT/PT is ok or not. The knee point voltage, current, magnetisation curve, ratio and polarity, etc., are provided through the ACVT system.
