Witzenmann GmbH was established in 1854 as a jewellery manufacturer in Pforzheim, southern Germany, by Heinrich Witzenmann, who later invented the metal hose in the year 1885 along with Eug?ne Levavasseur. The company, and its daughter concern, Witzenmann India, offers a range of metal hoses, expansion joints, metal hose expansion joints, double-walled welded metal hoses and expansion joints, metal bellows and multi-ply axial expansion joints for use in the chemicals industry and production plants. Witzenmann corrugated hoses are manufactured from various materials, with a corrugated profile. They are available in diameters from DN 6 to DN 300, for operating pressures up to 400 bar (depending on the nominal diameter) and for temperatures from -270 to max 600?C. Corrugated hoses are used in the chemicals industry, vacuum engineering, as vibration-damping and soundproofing elements between vibrating and rigid systems, and to compensate thermal movements or linear travel.
