Corrosion is a constant indiscriminate and costly enemy of parts whether when packaged for storage and distribution or during its manufacturing cycle in the shop. Traditional anti-corrosion methods are messy, costly and can be hazardous to personnel and the environment. Too often, they are ineffective as well. Cortec VpCl technology represents a breakthrough solution in corrosion prevention. Cortec VpCl products are environmentally safe, and do not contain nitrites or other harmful chemicals. These products are available in various forms such as liquids, powders, film, foam, paper, etc. They provide multimedia corrosion protection by forming a mono molecular layer on the metal surface. The coverage is complete, i.e., all surfaces, including crevices, cavities and other inaccessible void areas receive total protection. The VpCl barrier displaces moisture, reheals when disturbed and is self-replenishing, even for packaging that is opened and closed, and typically provides continuous protection for up to 24 months even in harsh and hostile conditions. The result is exceptional product protection, without the labour-intensive application and clean-up that is required with conventional oil coatings or other inhibiting products.
