Contactless magnetostrictive sensors are very well suitable for fast servo application with oscillations. Potentiometric tapes are contact bound, therefore vibrations, shock and oscillations on small track are subject of noise. With good linearity tolerance and good hysteresis and repeatability sensors avoid such problems. Side (SSO) and rod (SSC) operation allow ease adaption for automation in the machine-building industry. IP65 protection is available for connector and cable connection. The type SSCM is available with SensoCont-Electronics (Code M).
