Compression Moulds

  • The process of compression moulding involves skill and process knowledge. A team of qualified and experienced professionals from the company is able to provide compression moulds that are reliable.
  • It has the latest and advanced tools and equipment required to provide effective compression moulds. These moulds are available to clients at market leading prices.
  • Compression moulding involves a moulding polymer, which is pressed into a preheated mould, takes the shape of the cavity and then is cured with heat and pressure.
  • Pre-weighed quantity of polymer along with additives and fillers (charge) is introduced into the lower half of the mould.
  • The charge is usually available as powders, pellets, putty-like masses or pre-formed blanks which are preheated before putting into the moul. The downward motion of the upper half of the mould, puts pressure on the polymer charge and forces it to fill the cavity. The mould has a heating system for curing the polymer; after opening, the part is removed from it using an ejector pin. Materials that are processed by this technique are phenolics, melamine formaldehyde, urea formaldehyde and epoxies.
