Commutators
CMC Commutator offers Commutators. These are available in two types. They are moulded and built-up types. Moulded type size range is 50 to 150 mm dia. Commutators are manufactured for various applications like servo/permanent magnet motors, tacho generators and general purpose DC motors. Commutators are offered in ETP and silver bearing copper in B, F or H class insulations as per applications/customers" requirements. High quality imported asbestos-free phenolic moulding compound is used to ensure consistent performance at high speeds and temperatures. For general purpose applications polyester based moulding compounds are used. Built-up type commutators in nut/bolt type construction are offered up to 1,000 mm dia in ETP and silver bearing copper with B, F or H class insulations as per the type of applications/customers" requirements. User areas include mill duty motors, lift trucks, excavator sets, DC and traction motors, and swing generators. Hubs can be made from steel or castings in grey or SG iron. CMC also specializes in large commutators for traction motors, and other railway applications. In addition to OEM supplies, CMC also undertakes rebuilding and repairs. User industries include: cement and steel plants, coal, railway, DC/ traction motor manufacturers, power stations, fertilizers, plastic, paper and general engineering industries.
