The range of digital coat meters from New Concepts & Systems are meant for different applications and base and coating materials. Digital coat meter-M is designed for measuring non-magnetic coating on magnetic (ferrous) base material such as MS. It can also be used as for accurate thickness measurement. The instrument has an excellent calibration facility with zero and cal + & - membrane switches. Test foils and test piece are provided to facilitate the user to set the instrument to utmost accuracy. The instrument has spring loaded probe for constant force. The probe has V groove for cylindrical parts. The instrument works on 9 V dry battery and has an Auto Off facility to extend the battery life. Digital coat meter-M is available in two ranges Model-M1 has range of 0-1200 micron and Model M2 has range of 0-12 mm. The reading is displayed on LCD display with a resolution of 1 micron. Digital coat meter-C is designed on the principle of eddy current according to DIN 50984, 50982 and ISO 2360. It measures the thickness of non-conducting coating on conducting base. It is useful for measurement of coating of phosphates, paint, varnishes, Teflon, rubber, FRP, etc., on MS, SS, brass, aluminium, etc., and anodising of aluminium. The instrument is quite user friendly, and calibration easy with Zero and Cal knobs. Test foils and test pieces are supplied with instrument, which help the user to set it to the utmost accuracy. It has spring loaded probe for constant force. The probe has V groove for cylindrical parts. The measuring range is 0-1200 microns with resolution of 1 micron throughout the range. The reading is shown on LCD display. The instrument works on 9 V dry battery and has a separate indicator for battery check. Auto Off facility is incorporated to extend the battery life.
