MetFab Machines (India) offers a new economical range of CNC Press Brakes, APHS Compact series, from Baykal, a leading producer from Turkey, with experience of 15,000 installations of sheet metal working machines in 70 countries since 1950. Capacities range from 35 tonnes to 400 tonnes in lengths 1,250 mm up to 4,000 mm. These are economical ranges of 4 axes CNC press brakes equipped with EC4 controller with free offline programming software. Single axis back gauge is offered as standard, and optionally backgauge with R axis and CNC crowning. The offline 2D graphic programming software enables users to program the machine on remote PC without wasting production time of the machine. The software is easy-to-use menu driven with library for punch-die toolings, 2D graphical drawing capability, can suggest sequence of bends. Such software saves machine downtime, allows semi-skilled operator to run the machine while designer/programmer can prepare daily/weekly schedules on remote PC. Position of press beam continuously monitored by combination of proportional control hydraulics, CNC control and electronic scales on each end of ram providing positional feedback promise to deliver a fast, accurate and low power consumption machine. Ram parallelism and repeatability of successive strokes maintained within 10 microns irrespective of the actual load on the machine and correction of stroke position possible even under full pressure even when bending. The machine is equipped with segmented gooseneck hardened ground punch with left and right horns, European style punch adaptor with intermediate wedges to allow adjustment for wear of toolings. Top punch clamping can be conventional, quick-release manual or pneumatically operated. The large open height allows mounting of forming of deep boxes, mounting of complex tools. The machines are designed with rugged frame to ensure minimum deflection under heavy loads. The frame is machined in single set-up to achieve high level of parallelism between press beam and table. These press brakes find wide applications, wherever higher productivity, accuracy and repeatability are desired.
