Features: short cycle times through robust form tools on the four plunge slides operated by CNC servo axis motor; simultaneous operations through 8 position, bi-directional turret mounted on "X" and "Z" slide driven by CNC servo axis motors; variable AC servo motor for spindle drive; fast rapid traverse; hydraulic collet or chuck clamping; can be used as a chuck or with barfeed; low set up change time; low change over time; fixed cams programmed through CNC; and ideally suited for the manufacture of small, medium and large batches of turned parts which can be machined using plunge cutting form tools combined with standard carbide inserts from Sandvik, Widia or Iscar.
