Clamping Blocks

Clamping Blocks

Schunk, the competence leader in clamping technology/stationary workholding and gripping systems has completely reworked its series of TANDEM Clamping Blocks. Now they are part of a unique standardized modular system for highly efficient work piece clamping. The compact clamping blocks dispose of clamping force and precision.

With the TANDEM series, this innovative family-owned company is setting standards. The one-pieced rigid base body, the wedge-hook kinematics, as well as the ground jaw guidances provide for concentrated clamping forces of up to 55 kN. The excellent repeat accuracy of up to 0.01 mm guarantees exact results, too. The TANDEM clamping force blocks are ideally suitable for sophisticated milling operations with high machining volumes, high cycle times and minimum tolerances. Due to the two integrated jaw interfaces, top jaws with tongue and groove, and jaws with fine serration can also be used. The optimised chip deflecting outside contour as well as the minimum gap size prevents the penetration of chips or dirt. The clamping blocks are available with a standard stroke, long stroke, or with a fixed jaw in sizes 64 to 250 mm. The unique modular system has 30 various standardized clamping force blocks.

  • Extreme compact performance, develops enormous forces in confined spaces, and can be used on tooling machines.
  • Actuated pneumatically, hydraulically, via spring force or manually.
  • Special fitting screws assure that the unit can be exchanged repeatedly.
  • Lubrication channels and grooves evenly distribute the grease all over the complete guiding surfaces.
