Characterised Control Valve (CCV)
The characterised control valves (CCV) are available in 2-way and 3-way versions in all the most popular nominal sizes from DN 15 to 80 with different Kvs values, for variable control and open/close applications. There are also conventional ball valves available for open/close applications. All the valves are supplied together with the appropriate rotary actuator – they can be ordered either pre-fitted or as separate items. Optimum functionality of Belimo CCVs is assured by the provision of properly co-ordinated motorised operation. The specially developed rotary actuators provide the necessary precision in all power ratings and modulating, 3-point or open/close methods of control are available depending on which type of actuator is employed. A special characterising disc gives it an equal-percentage characteristic, which is comparable with that of a globe valve of the same nominal size. The Belimo CVV marries known ball valve technology with an innovative development – the unique characterising disc. This marriage of design has produced a range of highly desirable key features for the new valve: an equal-percentage valve characteristic, no sudden change in inlet flow on opening, high close off pressure, Kvs values comparable with those of globe valves of the same size, fewer pipe reducers needed, high range ability, excellent stability of control, and tight-sealing.
