Ceramic Electrodes, High Alumina

Ceramic Electrodes, High Alumina

Primetherm offers igniters suitable for burners and sensors. a spark is generated by passing a high voltage (10 kV) and low current (25 mA) electrical energy between two insulated electrodes separated by a gap of 5-6 mm, to ignite the fuel (either gas or oil) in fully automatic burners. These igniters offer the advantage of remote control with high tension ignition. The most common usage is on boilers, textile machinery, and process/oil heating systems. Use of high alumina as the insulator material gives electrodes superior mechanical strength and excellent thermal shock resistance. The high nickel alloy electrode wire offers resistance to electrical erosion and chemical attack. The sealed construction also qualifies these electrodes to be used as probes in devices like liquid level controllers or flame detectors. These electrodes are normally available in 10 and 12 mm diameter and lengths varying between 4"to 8".
