Centrifugal Finishing Machine

Centrifugal Finishing Machine

Dalal centrifugal finishing machine develops "High-G" force and hence process time is significantly lower than that obtainable in vibrating finishing machines/tumbling barrels. Deburring of carbon steel components, which takes about 30 minutes in a vibro energy finishing machines and 180 minutes in a tumbling barrel, would take 6 to 7 minutes in a centrifugal machine. Heavy burrs/deep lines, which were thought impossible to remove by vibro energy machine can be easily removed in centrifugal machines. The machine consists of a number of barrels (up to 4) mounted horizontally on the periphery of a vertical turret. The main motor at a high speed drives the turret and barrels. This produces high centrifugal force in the barrels. The barrels, containing the components to be processed, media, water and chemical compound rotate in the opposite direction. This results in a sliding action. Process time for deburring, polishing, etc, is extremely short compared to those obtained by other finishing machines such as tumbling barrels/vibro energy finishing machines. Various options such as straight barrels, inclined barrels, removable barrels (only for small sizes of machines), variable speed, media parts separator, inching arrangement, rubber/cast polyurethane lining, conveyors, etc, are available. Applications: deburring, polishing, radiusing, removing of file and finishing marks, descaling, chamfering, bright finishing, mirror finishing, burnishing, improving raw value, processing of delicate and thin parts, etc.
