Nallan Engineers offers Centricators. This is an indispensable equipment for carrying out boring operation using horizontal/ vertical boring machines, milling machines, jig boring and CNC machining centres while setting the job (centralising the rough castings/ forgings). This equipment consists of a probe, which is fixed to a spring-loaded spindle (pivot) mounted on an aluminium bracket (dial holder). On the other side of this spindle is fixed a small probe, which presses against the dial indicator. This arrangement makes it possible for the operator to read the deviation deep inside the bore, without much difficulty, on the dial, which will be outside the bore. Also, it is possible to dial from 0 to 500 mm diameter in one setting itself. It could be supplied with any taper to suit the particular machine spindle (MT 4/MT 5/ISO). Rack and pinion movement is provided on the cross slides for fine adjustment of the probe. Cross slides fitted with racks of different lengths and probes of different lengths could be offered to enable operations on jobs of different diameters and at different bore lengths. Advantages: setting could be done very fast (within 5 to 10 minutes) and readings could be got on entire circumference in one setting; could be used to set both ID and OD; repeatable accuracy is ensured; could be used to dial ID from 50 mm up to 250 mm and up to 300 mm inside the bore and OD up to 500 mm; rack and pinion movement ensures smooth and fine adjustment; and could be used on any type of boring machine.
