Carbon Monoxide Laser– Rebirth of an old work horse ! CO laser is a close cousin of CO2 laser AND MORE ! It emits “harder photons” at roughly half the frequency of a CO2 laser. For certain niche applications like glass cutting, CO laser has distinct advantages over CO2 laser : Its shorter wavelength light is focusable to a finer spot to enable finer cutting.
