Madhav Capacitors is a manufacturer of a range of capacitors ? a single stop shop for complete capacitors package including erection and commissioning. It also offers capacitor panels. Function:
- To monitor the circuit power factor continuously
- To switch on-off required capacitor steps to hold the circuit power factor at a mean set value
- To reduce penalties in the electricity bill due to PF being less than 0.90
- To earn incentives in the electricity bill by maintaining PF above 0.95
- To control and hold steady the PF at a mean set value
- To reduce harmonics when used in series with a series reactor. Ratings: number of steps available ? up to 16
- Current range for contactors ? 400 A
- Voltage range for contactors ? 415/440/500/800 kVAR/step to suit
- Time lag between steps 1 minute
- Panel base to suit (heights ? 2000, 2250 mm)
- Protection and metering: over current and surge protection are built - in the APFC relay
- Unbalanced phase current protection is provided with a CBCT on incoming cable and a neutral current detection relay
- Individual capacitors are protected with HRC fuses
- Metering at extra cost for capacitor current and for PF measurement can be provided
