TIDC India is a subsidiary of Tube Investments of India, a Murugappa Group company. TIDC India specialises in the manufacture of industrial and automotive chains and sprockets under the Rombo and Diamond brands respectively. The automotive product range of the company comprises motorcycle drive chains, heavy-duty chains for tillers, engine mechanism chains (camshaft chains), and kits that consist of a combination of chains and sprockets. The products are made at a well equipped manufacturing infrastructure. Also producing fine blanked transmission and engine parts for two-wheelers and four-wheelers, the company lays high emphasis on quality. An API 7F, ISO 14001: 2004 and TS 16949 certified company, TIDC India has a strong technical capability in cold working of metals, metal joining processes, metal treatment processes and development of tools, jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing technology. About 40 per cent of the roller chains the company makes are for special applications. Catering to OEMs in India, and to exports markets in USA, Europe and others, the camshaft chains are designed for excellent wear resistance and smooth transmission with minimal noise even under high rpm. Cam chains consist of chains, which assist in the opening and closing of valves for four-stroke engines. These are marketed under the Diamond and Accuro brand.
