Western Electronic Enterprise offers a high voltage test set for cable testing purpose. The apparatus consists of the following: control box consisting of motorized, voltage increase and decrease system, digital voltmeter, analog ammeter, sensing circuit and accessories; high voltage transformer of 30 KV output, secondary current capacity 50 mA; and acrylic transparent box containing spherical brass electrode spring loaded, with mechanism to lift the electrode when door is opened. The design is exactly as per ASTM-D-149. Technical specifications: input - 0-230 V AC, single phase; output - 0-20 KV; tripping current - 10, 50, 100, 150, 200, 300 mA; transformer capacity - 1.5 kW; rate of increase of voltage - 500 V per second; and current meter analogue - 300 mA. The apparatus is ergonomically designed for ease of operation. It has a built-in safety cage.
