Cristal Instruments offers Cable Float Switches, which are inexpensive. Simple in design and easy to install, these are reliable liquid level detecting devices ensuring trouble free operation over a long life. The unit consists of 3 major components – 1) PP Float in which embedded micro-switch as switching 1 NO + 1 NC contacts of 15 A At 240 V AC; 2) Three-cored cable made of synthetic rubber/PVC of different standard lengths of 2/3/5/10 mtr, directly moulded to micro-switch assembly inside the float chamber, and 3) Stabilising dead weight made of moulded PP, can be fixed at any point on the cable using the “O†ring supplied along. The micro-switch assembly inside the float changes contacts according to the float’s position. Actuation is via a roller ball and micro-switch arrangement within the switch. This low-cost switch is used for a variety of applications such as control of submersible pumps. This can be used in fresh water, seawater, sewerage and industrial effluents.
