Brushless Servoamplifier In Eurocard Format

Brushless Servoamplifier In Eurocard Format

Copley Control's Model 5015 is a servoamplifier for brushless motors and is designed in a Eurocard format. Optional edge filters reduce RFI and enhance unit's compliance with the common market's EMI/RFI interference requirements. Model 5015 also simplifies system design by providing auxiliary 5 V and 15 V output power for energizing Hall and other position sensors. It develops an output current accurately proportional to its input control voltage. The amplifier's current-to-voltage conversion ratio is established by user-selected 1% resistors. Model 5015 is referred to as a transconductance servoamplifier, owing to this voltage-to-current conversion characteristic. It is shipped with transconductance ratio set at 1 Amp per/volt output. Model 5015 brings common market universality to an American-built servoamplifier. The unit also gives European equipment builders a versatile motion control component. The amplifier will drive fractional horsepower motors in semiconductor fabrication equipment and test; plotters and high speed copiers; light duty X-Y positioning tables; medical instrumentation; and pick-andplace automation. Its low RFI noise reduces problems in applications where it is located close to sensitive circuits.
