Conical Spring Disc Belleville Washers are extensively used as compression springs for supporting large loads where there is space in the direction of loading. These are statically loaded as well as intermittently loaded or subjected to continuous dynamic loads. The benefit of these washers is that these do not take a permanent set on applications.
Belleville washers also called conical spring washers are manufactured as per DIN 6796 and are designed specifically for Heavy Duty Bolted section such as Bus Bars, Transformers, Rectifiers, Heat Exchangers, and Transmission, etc. These washers are intended to counteract the effect of setting which results in bolt/nut assemblies working loose.
