SMD Pumps offers a wide range of pumps to suit different applications. The company offers SMD-FTI barrel pump that is an ideal electric motor operated pump for transferring fluids from barrels. These are available in various models suitable for handling a variety of fluids ranging from solvents, petroleum products etc to highly viscous fluids, highly corrosive acids and others. The pumps are of sealless design and unique double suction impellers. They also have dry run capability. There is choice of the tube material in polypropylene, PVDF and SS. Regarding electric motors, there is choice of splash proof, TFFC, explosion proof and air motors. The motors are of high speed, with speed ranging up to 10000 RPM, which enable the pumps to develop high heads while delivering reasonably high flow rates. The length of the tube is designed to suit the standard size barrels and therefore, the pump can be directly inserted into the barrel without any kit or attachment. These pumps find use in drugs and pharmaceutical plants, chemical process industries, pesticide plants, power plants (for transfer of fuel), etc.
