Entek IRD offers a balancing instrument, Model 246. It eliminates the need of vector diagrams and pocket calculators in balancing procedures. Specifications: singleplane, two-plane or static-couple balancing problems are calculated automatically and solved quickly; dual narrowband tracking filters permit high precision balancing and excellent rejection of interfacing vibrations; permanent memory storage for balance data of different rotor configurations; backlit LCD alphanumeric prompting screen guides operate through each balancing step; operates on AC power, a 12-volt battery source or optional external battery pack. Applications: can be used as a portable field balancer or as the instrumentation for a balancing machine; brings a new level of convenience and accuracy to on-site balancing of rotating equipment; and, compact "briefcase"size makes it easy to carry.
