Backlash-Free Couplings For Control Systems
KTR Kupplungstechnik offers the Rolex GS backlashfree couplings for measurement, servo and control systems. The plug-in shaft coupling is backlash-free and fail-safe and dampens vibrations up to 940 Nm. Two congruent coupling halves made from aluminium or steel fitted inside with concave jaws are offset by half a pitch in peripheral direction. They are designed in a way that allows to place an involute ring gear of plastic that is positively reset in the space between them. The P version of this type of coupling was developed for use on high-speed main spindle drives and for high speed cutting. It runs extremely smoothly.
