Voith Turbo (India) is a subsidiary of the Voith Group, Germany, which has a broad product portfolio that ranges from automotive and other industrial segments. The company also manufactures automatic transmissions, retarders, torsional vibration dampers and air compressors for automotive applications. In India, Voith offers the DIWA.5 automatic transmission. Capable of being integrated easily into any vehicle concept, in areas with limited space, without pipe work or tubes outside and the integrated heat exchange, the DIWA.5 makes for low maintenance and operating costs. Promising more comfort for passengers and drivers, and reducing thermal load of the engine cooling circuit, DIWA.5 incorporates topography-dependent shifting program SensoTop, which optimally matches all gear-shifting points to acceleration, line profile and load. A tilt sensor provides transmission control with the information needed for stepless adjustment of gear-shifting points. The driver has the best engine power available for level roads or mountainous terrain and heavy or light loads. DIWA.5 is available in four models with a maximum torque handling capacity of between 650 Nm and 1900 Nm.
