Ispat Industries offers automotive steel grades - hot rolled, CRCA, galvanised and colour coated, for the consumption of the automotive industry. Called the new generation steel, the automotive steel grades offered by Ispat Industries are extra thin, with improved strength quotient. If the polysteel sheets in colours could be used in applications like side panels of bus bodies, galvanised steel could be used in the manufacture of bus body sides and roof, and automotive body supports and channels. CRCA steel could find application in the manufacture of floor panels, bonnet support, dash panels, hood, side or back panels, gear carrier cover, etc. The hot rolled steel could find use in the manufacture of cross and long member of an automobile body structure; for general fabrication, wheel rim and body reinforcements, and automotive parts like rear axle housing. Features of the automotive steel grades the company offers, include high yield strength, excellent formability, higher strength to lower weight ratio, hot and cold formability, good welding-ability, wear resistance, good surface condition and tough build, and the ability to form complex shapes.
