An automatic power factor controller (APFC) system is a necessity in view of high cost of power as well as stiff penalties imposed against low power factor, which leads to poor power efficiency, thereby increasing the apparent power drawn from the distribution network. This results in overloading of transformer, bus bars, switchgear, cables and other distribution devices within the industry or consumer area. Servomax APFC system ensures optimum power for the running loads. The present day electrical networks cater to a variety of non linear loads (like UPS, soft starter, VFD, etc), which dynamically fluctuate and create waveform distortion thereby necessitating installation of APFC panel with line filter.
