SE Systems offers automated eddy current inspection system for real-time, non-contact detection of defects in welds as they exit the welder. When monitoring a continuous weld, the inspection system uses two programmable alarm levels. With the fust level, a yellow light indicates that the weld quality is beginning to deteriorate, and provides an early warning so that action can be taken. The second level indicates with a red light that a defect has been detected. Quality of the weld is displayed as a function of position along the length of the weld and can be recorded for future reference.
