Auto Detection Micro Hardness Tester

Auto Detection Micro Hardness Tester

Shimadzu introduces new Model HM-2000AD Auto Detection Micro Hardness Tester. It obtains Vickers hardness by automatically measuring the diagonal length of an indentation based on the high-performance image processing function after acquiring an indentation image of the test piece surface by the CCD camera during the Vickers hardness test. In conventional Micro Hardness Tester, there is a possibility of variation in hardness values while measuring the diagonal lengths of indentation, due to human error. This can be overcome by the new Auto Detection type Micro Hardness Tester Model HW-2000 AD. In addition, this system will display an image of the test piece surface on the Personal Computer CRT screen. The system also provides a manual measurement mode. With this mode, the user can manually measure the diagonal length of indentations by moving the cursor along the image of the specimen surface displayed on the CRT screen of a Personal Computer. Even in the manual measurement mode, measurements by the HMV-2000AD are much easier than with conventional optical microscopes. The HMV-2000AD also has versatile data processing functions as standard. With these functions, the operator can use a Personal Computer to set test parameters, store and analyse test results, graphically display the analysed results (the results of statistical calculation, hardness transition curves). This tester provides a highly efficient measurement environment. Also HMV2000 can be upgraded to HMV-2000AD (automatic readout function). Likewise HSV-20 can also be upgraded to HSV20AD,
