Assembly Line Monitoring System (ALMS)

Assembly Line Monitoring System (ALMS)

Process Care Systems (India) Pvt Ltd has designed Assembly Line Monitoring System (ALMS). This helps in immediately sensing any hold up in any one of the stages automatically and communicates reason for hold up either automatically or with some more inputs from the operator at a particular stage instantaneously. Every machine/station in the assembly line is interfaced to a station monitoring unit (SMU) consisting of tower lamp interface, audio interface, key switches and machine interface circuit. All these station monitoring units are connected to an LSDU [LCD supervisory display unit, a master unit controlling all SMUs] through RS-485 bus. If the machine is down due to some specific reason and is not started within threshold time red lamp starts flashing along with buzzer until it gets proper reason from key input of SMU. Voice channel is added to enable even illiterate operators to more fully describe reason(s) for assembly line hold-up. Station monitoring unit (SMU): the unit is designed with in-built feather touch keys assigned to most frequently encountered reasons for assembly line hold-ups. Symbols are printed on the keys to help less literate people also to interact with the system. A three-colour tower lamp can be interfaced to flash several indications. Audio interface port is also available to connect a headphone kind of device for voice communication to convey more information in a regional language. LCD supervisory display unit (LSDU): designed to get the maintenance and material requests from the assembly stations and to flash corresponding symbols on display module. It enables supervisor to call an operator of any station by pressing 'call STN' key. Software application: PC will record all the events from different stations and stores it with date and time stamp which is used to generate various MIS reports. The company also offers Power Control Module For Generator, Tactical Communication System For Combat Flight Simulator, Tube Process Monitoring & Control Units (TPMCU), Intelligent Monitoring Panels for Vehicle Applications and Electronic Control Panel, etc.
