Air Sampler

Slit Air Sampler SAS-700 is used to sample air at a rate of 700 litres/min. It is being successfully used by major pharmaceutical industries in India to collect & subsequently measure bacterial count of septic production area (sterilized).

Working Principle:
Suction unit & table unit are connected through hosepipe. Table unit contains rotary table, on which petri plate with agar jelly is kept. This plate rotates at slow speed. Air is being sucked by blower unit through small slits provided in the table unit, above the rotating plate, which impinges on the jelly surface, evenly at high velocity. This operation is kept for different time settings from 0 to 999 Sec on the basis of class of air in the production area like 100, 1000 & 1,00,000. Subject petri plate is then incubated for 72 hrs at 200C - 250C & count of number of bacterial colonies is taken to decide acceptable norms.
