Used on extruders, the air cooled ceramic band heaters have a heater band, which is 60% open by perforated metal sheet that ensures maximum surface exposure for better cooling. Designed for efficient and economical cooling on extrusion and blow moulding machines, the heater band is covered with blower cover for mounting the blower. Advantages of air cooled over liquid operation includes lower cost, easy replacement, low maintenance, no leakage problem and uniform temperature control. A perforated heater with fins provides faster cooling is available as an option.
