Aeromechanical Conveyors
Scorpio Engineering offers aeromechanical conveyors. They fill the gap between flexible spiral conveyors and the pneumatic conveyors. An air stream is created in a pair of tubes by the motion of a series of plastic disks evenly spaced on an endless wire rope, which rotates on head and tail sprockets at the two ends of the tubes. Material is fed at the lower end of the unit through a hopper and is carried up to the discharge by entrainment within the air stream. The plastic disks help in creating the air stream and also to contain the material mass being transferred. Multiple discharge is possible by linking the units. Tonnages up to 40 TPH are possible.
