Unique Systems & Control offers Uni-Step AC Servo Motors. These are of three lead type, suitable for operation on 240 V, single-phase supply. A single pole 3-position switch is required for forward, reverse and off control. The torque output of the motor is directly proportional to the supply voltage. Features: the motor rotates in either direction; start/stop and reversal is instantaneous; speed on 50 Hz main is 60 RPM; there is no heavy in rush of current at the start; shaft can be stalled forcibly without any damage to the motor; and low basic speed eliminates the complex gear train in many applications. These motors can be started with load rigidly connected to its shaft. However, there is limit to the inertial load with which the motor will start from rest. The loads having momentum of inertia exceeding the specified value may be coupled loosely allowing approximately 5 degree of free shaft rotation, if application allows this freedom.
