  • The range of potential applications for mobile robots includes those of agricultural robotic applications, routine material transport in factories, warehouses, office buildings and hospitals, indoor and outdoor security patrols, inventory verification, hazardous material handling, hazardous site cleanup, underwater applications, and numerous military applications. 
  • Despite of this fact, available platforms on the market for research purposes are very few in number, and limited in their capability for multi-purpose use. Obviously, purchasing new platforms for different applications is not a feasible solution for conducting research. 
  • The company has a new series of multi-purpose mobile platforms useful for indoor and outdoor applications with unique omni-directional mobility and unmatched payload capabilities. 
  • X-Terrabot is available in two variants. X-Terrabot Omni has a wheel base is a unique four wheel drive mobile platform with each wheel independently steered. With this capability, the robot can move omni-directionally unlike other standard four wheeled robots. With the help of such advanced suspension systems, X-Terrabot omni can also move over carpets and small bumps when used indoor and on levelled roads in outdoor applications. X-Terrabot Mecanum has a four wheel drive mobile platform with mecanum wheels. It has a split mount platform suitable for mounting two manipulators and simultaneously other accessories. These platforms are on a slider base which can extend outwards whenever required to increase the work envelop of the arms.
