Ultrasonic Flaw Detector

Electrosonic Industries manufactures versatile ultrasonic flaw detector for NDT applications. The principle used is pulse echo technique. A train of ultrasonic waves is transmitted in the material to be tested. When these waves come across a crack, discontinuity or non-homogeneity, part of these waves are reflected. The transmitted and reflected waves are displayed on luminous screen. The screen is calibrated to determine at the distance at which the flaw is located and its magnitude. The instrument finds its application in testing of metal sheets, castings, pipes, welding joints etc. The machine can be adopted for nonmetals like HDPE also. The ultrasonic flaw detector is uP (microprocessor) based using latest technology and feather touch keyboard for ease of operation. The testing method could be either single probe or double probe. Different types of NDT probes can be supplied depending on application.
