- It is an ultrasonic non-contact type flow measurement technique to measure & monitor liquid flow through primary flow elements like rectangular & V-notch weirs and Parshall flumes.
- The system comprises of an ultrasonic level transmitter and flow totalizer to display instantaneous and total flow. The transmitter can be configured through keypads to suit for flume or weir option. It calculates flow rate and sends an appropriate signal (4?20mA) to the flow totalizer. The flow totalizer is powered through 90-270 VAC supply, provided with potential free relay output contacts, to control pumps, alarms & valves to monitor flow. Re-transmission (4?20mA) output from totalizer can be further connected to a PLC, DCS or SCADA for monitoring & recording total flow.Â
- This system is used in water & sewage treatment plants and to monitor & regulate effluents from various industries like paper & pulp, chemical & petrochemical industries, food & beverages, power plants, fertilizers and tanneries.
