Reciprocating Pump

  • The booster pump consists of two sections. The lower pressure and higher pressure side, both are yoked together. The lower pressure has bigger piston and acts on smaller piston thus resulting in higher pressure. The pressure intensifiers are available in different ratios such as 1: 10, 1: 20, 1: 30 etc.
  • A small built in reservoir of oil is attached to the intensifier. Two non-return valves are present on the higher side of the intensifier. During backward motion oil is sucked in and during forward motion the oil is driven to the operational device such as clamping, pressure testing etc.
  • The required pressure is indicated depending on the ratio of intensifier when it meets the resistance.
  • Its application is: the booster pumps are extensively used with clamps. Having a 5mm to 10 mm movement and developing force of more than two tons.
  • The booster pumps can be operated by different valves. The pumps can also be given with automatic reciprocating motion depending upon applications.
